Shiatsu
The Japanese word shiatsu means 'finger pressure', however in a shiatsu session I will also stretch, hold and lean my weight into your body. A shiatsu session can be for relaxation, treatment of ailments or in a preventative way to bring about general good health. I may in addition include some sotai techniques if I feel they would complement the shiatsu and be of benefit.
Please take a moment to watch my short video.
How many sessions will I need?
Many people have regular shiatsu to help maintain overall good health. If you have a specific problem to be helped, I will regularly review with you how you feel you are progressing. Long term conditions can take longer to improve, but every one is different and some times progress is seen more quickly.
During a session, you will remain fully clothed on a futon on the floor. For those people with less mobility, I can work on you in a specially designed massage chair.
